P300 Random Misfire.

Random misfire means more than 2 cylinders, a intake leak can give random misfire, but on your vehicle,if the intake had a leak it will affect that cylinder and the ECM will identify that offending cylinder. Here is another scenerio lets say you have a offending injector, 1 fuel injector is capable a setting multiple cylinder to misfire evn though the cause is a single injector.Plus a intake leak will set off a code of lean bank 1 and lean bank 2 .You are equipt with sparkplug wires,on the cyliner where the sparkplugs are located there is a heat shield for the sparkplug boot, these have a tendency to arc to ground and if it misfire you can hear it, or see it in the dark, you can also spray a mist of water on the sparkplug wire to see if it acts up,You also have a fuel pressure regulator that goes bad, on the fuel injector rail is a fuel pressure regulator, the regulator tens to go bad and sends fuel into the intake through its vacuum hose connection,If you want look for a intake leak use brake cleaner as the car is at idle spray a little on the intake gasket listen for a RPM drop,or engine change and you found it,but you need to be careful doing this and have a fire extinguisher on hand, I personally dont advise doing this, it a waste of money, and its not the problem
