2003 ford e150 van P1406

Question

My code question was answered the other day that P1406 had nothing to do with speedometer. I changed out the speed sensor as suggested, but nothing. Could a wire to damaged or loose somewhere? Any ideas?

The speedometer/odometer is hardwired to the PCM (power control module).The vehicle speed signal is transmitted directly from the PCM to the speedometer/odometer . The PCM recieves its signal from the output shaft speed sensor (VSS)
