I have intermittent C1116 code. I replaced brake light switch but didn't fix problem. I want to know if there is a way to verify ABS actuator is bad rather then paying $1,100 for new part?

Did you clear the ABS code? The ABS system goes into a self check mode you porbably can hear it and this is normal .there should be a clicking or thumping noise from the engine compartment area. This noise only occurs once per ignition cycle and does not occur again until the ignition is cycled, its only for a breif second,if you ever apply the brakes when the self check occurs you may even feel vibration at the brake pedal. This is your way of verifying
