pontiac code P0621

my crank but wont start is the P0621 right? is this an issue that my car wont start? thank you

P0621 Generator lamp "L" control circuit malfunction,

This code is for a vehicle running condition,for the charging system, If the vehicle doesnt start, you need to check for fuel, when you turn the key on or cycle the key on you should be able to hear the fuel pump go on, Another questionable is do you have spark,if you can safetly check for spark by grounding one sparkplug wire 1/4" air gap from chasis ground and have someone crank it ,if you have spark then we can safetly say you have fuel problems
