what does the code mean, how hard is it to fix, how much to fix?

P2008 Intake manifold control solenoid control circuit

First step check fuse inj/main 10 amp fuse, if its open replace it.

You need a volt meter you need to measure the IMCR (intake manifold control runner ) harness disconnected from IMRC, key on engine off on the orange wire if you recieve 2.6 to 4.6, Then you will need a ECM.

Here is how the IMCR operates, The ECM controls the intake manifold control runner diaghram by controlling the vacuum supply,from the intake manifold control solenoid,yes the solenoid does fail and stays open,If you can subsitute a known good one,clear  the codes and go from there.
