2004 Ford F250 Super Duty 5.4L 4x4 with code C1184. Has anyone had this problem?

2004 Ford F250 Super Duty 5.4L 4x4, c1184, just says that ABS system inop, well i know that, i need to know why. I replaced the rear speed sensor because the dealer said that's what gave the most problems. still, I get the pump run on and kick back almost every time i apply the brakes. Has anyone had this problem?

C1184 ABS in operational, Okay so your saying it intermittent, how about the front wheel sensor, these are known to be inttermittent,Yes i did come across a problem like this , but the sytem used a OSS for ABS,So your system may use the OSS instead of the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)  This is located on the left side of transmission tailshaft,or on transfer case tail shaft on 4x4
