P0506 NISSAN -

Question

I have a 2002 nissan altima. The the idle goes up and down when it is on park or neutral. When in drive, its stable at 1000rpm. It only moves up and down when in park and neutral. I replaces the idle control ( dealer item) we used all the steps to reset it. I light is is suppose to blink and show while restting never showed nor blinked at all. We still continued on with the steps given and nothing happened... WHat other possibilites could there be for us to look into.

If the idle is unstable that needs to be resolved first,look for a vacuum leak at the intake,PCV,brake booster and EGR if any,as long as the idle is unstabe it wont reset
