P0118 is coolant temperature circuit high input,basically the temerature sensor is disconnected, As for P1298 this is the load detector that the ECM uses to determin output need for the charging system  The ELD is located in the engine fuse box which is a current transformer,you should check the battery condition if its no good have it replaced, and also the charging system This is also known to set of P1298
