Transmission Range Sensor High Input

While returning from last weekend trip, i noticed that while i was acelerating vehicle was making more noise like if the exhaust was broken. It was getting barely 80 km / hr speed. With max accelator it reached at 100 km/hr. It was producing noise like it the transmission was on neutral. Next day i got it checked from computer, it detected "P0708 - Transmission Range Sensor High Input". How to go about it ?

Vehicle: 2006, Ford Explorer, V6
