Hi, I have a 2007 Titanium x 2.0 TDCI(140) Mk4 Mondeo with around 120,000 miles on clock. Recently the car went into limp mode while accelerating with ‘Engine Malfunction’ Message on converse display, this happened 3 times over the course of 2 days. On each occasion the car seemed fine after stopping switching off ignition and restating. Since then however the orange check engine light has been on (No longer going into limp mode). I have attached a code reader and I’m getting ‘P0097 – Powertrain’. I have removed the code and the orange light goes off, However code and light returns. I’d be grateful for any advice on what could be the likely cause of this issue and how to remedy. Thanks in advance, Gary.
