2004 Nissan Altima 2.5L code u1000 is on. My car will not shift gears. It won't let me use cruise control and the gear lights are off.

U1000 is a bad ground problem, you can clean the factory grounds with sand paper and tighen them back up. and you can add a grounding kit to help the factory grounds
