after some more checks on the fault codes , p0089 remain on the system , took my 59 plate van to a vauxhall dealer for a second check , same code fault but he suggested that a pressure valve fault sensor which is situated on the common rail and comes with a price of 500 pounds plus vat  for my particular  vivaro model .    shock horror , and after a stif drink ,spoke to my old friend and he suggested a more simple soloution, low pressure fuel regulator code p0089 could be a air blockage etc .  Opened the fuel pipe and bled her to remove any air, also used the nipples sited on the fuel  filter ,  started the van and left her running and inspected clear fuel lines under the bonnet, still had small bubbles gushing through, would mean a  fuel filter change required, was changed 6 months ago , removed filter and case, found high amount of dirt in case and filter, cleaned case with petrol and new filter installed and all connected . Took the van for a good long drive , no more warning lights on , never cut out and drives almost like ne , result
