what is P1296 code for nissan frontier 2007, 4cyl

Thank you for your time. I have a ses light with OBD error P1296. Just liek to knwo what it is. I searched web and got Ford and VW codes but both differed, so I assume mine will too.

Please double check the code. There is no P1296 code information in the factory service manual. The code doesn't applied for the 2007 Nissan Frontier.

Thank you. I have checked it twice with a friends computer. It came up as code 01  p1296. I cleared it. Not sure what to do it it gives a code that does not reference in the list. I thank you very much for your time and help. last time I used his code reader, it told me there was a mass air issue, turned out it was a loose gas cap. That computer saved me lots of money and I assume it works from that; I just don't know why I got a code I should not get. Maybe I need to clear the reader some how, other than turning it off and back on. It was used on a ford ranger just before I used it on my truck. I had the ignition on but engine not running as I was told to do.
