2001 astro 4.2, mass air flow code

Question

i got a p0101 code, mass air sensor/volume faulty. replaced mas, still won't start, still get code!????

Hi there,

This could be a result of the wiring to the maf sensor, however a faulty maf should not prevent it from starting. Check and make sure you have 2 power wires, one should have 5 volts and the other should have battery voltage on it. If these are good, then check continuity on the signal wires. You may also be able to disconnect the maf and try to start the van. It may be flooded if the maf isn't reading properly.
