The engine cuts off when accelerating. Can it be caused by Engine Oil Temp sensor?

the engine cuts off whenever you attempt to accelerate. It all started whenever I want to increase speed to overtake. Now, it is worse it goes off just like that and need to wait for about a minute or more before restarte caused by Engine Oil Temperature ?

Vehicle: 2005, Kia Sorento, 2.5 crdi diesel automatic transmission
