code P0455 on 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.8

P0455 code on 2003 Chev Silverado 4.8. Just replaced fuel pump and filter. all hoses on tight and snug, no visible leaks or wetness. Slight fuel odor at times. gas cap is secure. filler hose appears secure and tight. cleared code once, came back 3 days later. what am I missing? help please!!!!

This may be happening if the seal on the pump at the top of the tank is not good or in place. Best thing to do is have it smoke tested to find theleak and then make the repair.
