I see an IMA light when driving. I check and settle with the computer system at a service center. Then the IMA light disappears but sees again the next day. How will I do?

The battery should be under warranty (hybrid battery warranty is 8 years) and this engine fault code is the golden key that is necessary to get honda to replace the battery for free under warranty.

Thank for your answer bro. My car is 2009 model, so this product may be within 4 years. So it will be cover the warranty period( if its warranty is 8 years ). IMA light  disappeared when i went highway( about 120 miles) and appear again when i face with traffic ( next 3-4 days ). Also disappeared when i changed air filter but appear next day. Battery assiting and charging are working and battery level are also working. How should I do?

Call your dealer... ours is a 2008, and the dealer confirmed that the code P0A7F was necessary for a warranty replacement.

The light goes out, but the code remains... DON'T CLEAR IT!!!  The Honda service department must verify that the code has come up.

After my above post, we took the car in and left it under the expectation that it would be available late the next day.  They verified the code, ordered a _new_ battery and we picked it up the next day for a total cost of zero.

Better news is that the replacement battery was lithium/ion rather than the original NMHydrid... not as subject to heat degradation as the original.

I think there is also a milage limit on the battery but calling the dealer will answer that question.

Post your findings and experience.
