Bank one is the rear bank closest to the firewall, sensor 2 is the rear O2 sensor after the converter.Most of the time a replacement sensor will solve this code.

you might have also told him that the elec. conn. should be checked, and maybe explained how to replace it himself. and why not use this as example: bank 1 sensor2 is by the #1cylinder also these cost around $234.00 then add 125.00 hr. I ask questions so I can do it myself, not to just be told to see a mechanic.
