Hello Guys, I have Error P0746 and P0868 on my Nissan Murano 2005 SL AWD. Please what does this mean? Is my gear faulty as the vehicle does not move, the throttle is flat when i engage the gear, however when on parking mode, it revs well.

Any other symptoms? if you haven't change the transmission fluid and have no other symptoms, then you could start with the fluid. If the the problem persists, and since you have over 150K miles, you may have to rebuild the transmission or at least replace the transmission valve body to fix the problem.

1. You can definitely do the the flush, but changing the solenoid do require some work. Also, the problem with the solenoid is that you may not be able to get the solenoid by itself. The factory recommend replacing the entire valve body.

Hi, I have a 2007 Nissan Murano and has code P0746, got the "service engine soon" light is on. Vehicle has 145,500 miles. I don;t feel that it has any shifting gear problems and it shifts smooth. 2012 Maxima lost power suddenly after stopping at a light. Floor the gas and i barely move and the rpms do not increase. keep it floored eventually the speed increases and then drives fine. As long as I do not tap break when slowing down or come to complete stop the it will engage otherwise now coasts (limp mode I assume) until it kicks in again. Mechanic said code came back is P0746. No other code. This happened after filling gas tank. I only have 52,000 miles. Just want to make sure mechanic doesn't replace something doesn't need. I instantly felt it was dirt clog or something similar as car was sitting under tree that dropped a llot of pollen beads for 2 weeks while I was out of town so it made sense to me, is this possible? If Solenoid needs to be replaced is it expensive?

I doubt the pollen will cause the problem and yes it is expensive to repair. The solenoid is parts of the Transmission Valve Body. If the problem is the solenoid, you may have to replace the transmission valve body and not just the solenoid.
I suggest starting by changing the transmission fluid. Do not do a transmission "Flush" just change the fluid.
