I have a PO0743 and my Mercedes Benz 1998 C230 got into limp mode. The information provided on this website is the best information I was able to find. Β I decided to replace the torque converter solenoid valve and the problem was resolved. I did have to take my car to a shop where they had a computer capable of clearing the PO0743. My OBDII can't clear this error code. You need to access the transmission through the computer in the engine compartment. Β The error code was cleaned up from the transmission computer and from the engine computer. Β
