Code P0622 Ford Description

The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses the generator turn on signal circuit to control the generator. A high side driver within the ECM allows the ECM to turn the generator ON and OFF. When Generator operation is desired, the ECM sends a 5 volt signal to the voltage regulator via the generator turn on signal circuit. This causes the voltage regulator to begin controlling the generator field circuit. Once the Generator is enabled by the ECM, the voltage regulator controls generator output independently of the ECM. Under certain operating conditions, the ECM can turn Off the generator by turning Off the 5 volt signal on the generator turn on signal circuit.

  • ford fiesta... have same problem but battery is good and charging ....alternator also seems to be good not sure about wiring what sholud i do?

  • Try cleaning and tighten the battery terminals, and then clear the code. If the problem persist the next step is checking the alternator charge. Make sure the alternator is not charging more than 14 volts.

  • We replaced the alternator and new battery cables and the 2005 ford expedition Triton, still drains the battery by the end of the day. The 4 codes we have are P0113-ff (also, what does the ff mean?)
    P0622-FF and P1000-FF. Took battery to oriellys tested said it was good. What next's we need a new battery?? Any advice would be great
