Code P0746 Honda Description

The Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid Valve is an electronic pressure regulator that controls transmission line pressure based on current flow through its coil windings. As current flow is increased, the magnetic field produced by the coil moves the solenoid’s plunger further away from the exhaust port. Opening the exhaust port decreases the output fluid pressure regulated by the PC solenoid valve, which ultimately decreases line pressure. The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent from the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set when the gear required by the Engine Control Module (ECM) does not match the actual gear when driving.

  • hi i have a diagnostic check engine light on my 2005 honda accord ex 6cyl. mechinic told me change your transmission. problem is when my car going warm up then will be that issue come, problem is when we're driving the car like neutralize &the rpm goes up but the car not going any faster & when you ease off the excelerator it kick in and it takes off & run alright for a while and repeats the problem again. but cruice control is working fine. the diagnostic code was p0741. and p0746, what are we talking about parts & labor solution?
