Code P0562 Chrysler Description
During normal operation, the voltage reading at the Alternator output stud will be very close to the target charging voltage viewed on the scan tool. This is the system voltage and is sensed by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) through the Fused B+ circuit (B). With the Alternator connector plugged in, and back probing the Alternator Sense circuit (E), the voltage reading will be approximately 3.5 volts less than the voltage at the Alternator output stud due the resistor inside the Alternator. This is the Alternator Sense (E) input to the PCM. These two voltage sense inputs are used and compared during the different diagnostics performed on the EVR System by the PCM.

I'm having the same problem now with my 2005 Chrysler Sebring. Have the same two codes . 562 looks like it might be leaning towards my alternator. Almost sounds like that's causing all the problems . Replacing my alternator tomorrow and gonna check the connections to the TCM/PCM

ITs a 4 cylinder LX 2dr convertable. First the oil light came on, and would say "change oil" in odometer. WEnt back to the oil place and cleared the message, but oil light came up again, so he put the computer on it and the code PO562 came up and also said on page 2 Generic voltage low
Intake manifold sensor switch/ circut high bankI just got a new battery in Jan, they checked it and its ok. after oil guy hooked it up the light in dash went out, but he said its going to come back on until issue is resolved.
All fluid levels checked and ok.

Since the battery checked OK, then the next step is to check how the alternator is charging. Other than the battery and alternator, there are no other components that could set the code.

So I went in and got the battery/alternator checkd, and it was a loose terminal. I went back to the guy with the co mputer and it now gives a different code,
p2017- intake manafold runer position sensor switch. Circut high bank.

actually I typed in the code P2017 on this site and found "Intake manifold" However, since I had the guy reset it after the battery issue was solved, it hasnt come back on. SO Im totally relieved. Thanks for your assistance.

You need to inspect the charging system, then fix the problem (See Possible Causes above). Once you have fixed the problem you can clear the code with an OBDII scanner or by disconnecting the car battery for about 30 minutes.

I've got this p0562 code alone with a parasitic drain. I changed the battery and the wires look ok. I don't know if it's the alternator or something else that's draining the battery.
