At ignition on the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) supplies 5 volts to power up the Right Rear Passenger Seat Weight Sensor. Every time the sensor is powered up it sends an initialization message containing the sensor serial number to the OCM. If the Right Rear Passenger Seat Weight Sensor 5 volt supply is temporarily interrupted resulting in the sensor powering up more than one time in the same ignition cycle the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.
