Code U1008 Description

Lost Communication with Radiator Shutter also known as Active Air Flap.
Active Air Flap (AAF) system is equipped with a flip can be opened between radiator grille and radiator. During High speed driving, it will enhance the driving stability by closing the flap to reduce the air resistance. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will open the flap function if the inside the engine room temperature rises. The ECM sets the OBDII code when the Active Air Flap (AAF) system is not working to factory specifications.
