2006 Ford F150 4x4 5.4L, is the p0018 code repairable without major costs?

This code is for the variable timing solenoid on bank 2. In most cases it's a problem with the cam position sensor or the soleniod and not a major repair. It is possible there could be a problem with the timing chain causing the code as well as oil sludge blocking the passeges.Typically it is not a major repair bill however.
