P0715 SUBARU -

I HAVE A PO715 WITH MY WRX AND AS SOON AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE ENGINE TURND ITSELF OFF.

CAN A PO715 CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF??? THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE SENSOR'S RESISTANCE WAS 600 OHMS, ...HIGH.

Yes it's possible. The engine control module needs to see the signal from the sensor. Have you check the transmission fluid level and condition?
