Are HO2S1 & HO2S2 the same build, can they be fitted in position 1 or 2 in the exhaust?

Hi, 2000 Lincoln Towncar 4.6L are HO2S1 & HO2S2 the same build, and can they be fitted in position 1 or 2 in the exhaust

No, these are not interchangable. The front sensor is an A/F sensors normally has 6 wires, and the rear sensor is an actual O2 sensor.
