Will it hurt for me to drive my Acura 07 to the dealer 40 miles away.

The message came on to "Check Transmission." with the Code P0847 This seems to mean something about 3rd clutch transission fluid pressure switch (short or stuck ON)

It seems to drive okay, but I haven't driven it for many miles.

I think it will be ok to drive it there, if the car is out of warranty it will be a pricey fix. Call the dealer and see if your car is still under power-train warranty
