P0171 AUDI -

Question

how soon should this be serviced? I can 't get to the shop for another week or so, the light came on a yesterday. In addition, I notice that the car skips when I am in park and the car is on. Is this connected to the P0171 code? I know that it didn't do this before.

Hi there,

The code indicates a lean fuel mixture. If you can actually feel it happening, then it should be taken care of as soon as possible. Since there is a skip it's quite possible the problem is an intake manifold leak or a problem with the timing being off.
