OBD identifies a faulty code(06-02): ECT Sensor(1) circuit high input in my 2004 honda accord v6 engine. I would like to know the explanation for the faulty code and possible ways of correcting it. Thanks.

Hi there,

Basically what it means by high input is that its seeing a voltage that is higher then it should be for longer then it should be, as the engine temp increases the voltage should increase. If the sensor is bad, then the voltage is staying at a certain range for to long.

Most often replacing the ECT will solve the problem, it can also be a problem if the thermostat is bad and the engine is running to hot or to cold
