I am getting several DTC's that all check out as no problem with open/closed circuits & voltages are all correct. about 18 months ago I had an alternator breakdown causing it to supply 60 volts to the system.
My only thought is that the over voltage caused damage to the ECM but not completely frying it. I can't afford to buy a new unit so I want to try a junkyard unit & see if that clears the DTC's.

Is it from the same model and year? If it is, then it should work. If it is from another model or year, then there is a big chance that it won't work. ECMs sometimes have the same number, but the internal program is different.
