How do you test an ESM for a 2006 Ford Freestyle? I got the engine codes P0106 and P0401

What is ESM? do you mean ECM? If you do, then it depends what part/system of the ECM you need to test. Sometimes a part of the ECM is OK while others are damage or not responding.
