I have done the impossible, has a new timing belt and all new components, replaced the variable valve timing actuator. New cam sensor, the light we away for about two weeks, but than “it’s back”. Triple checked timing alignment, checked the three wires from the cam sensor to the ECM. With an ohm meter. No short or intermittent open.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to help you with this one. I have checked a national database of repairs and there is nothing else other than the timing belt, sensor, and actuator. There were a couple of repairs were the technician replaced the MAF to fix the problem. You could try cleaning the MAF to see if that helps. Since the problem doesn't come back right away, it reduces the possibilities that the problem is an open wire or damage control module.

Did you replace both camshaft sensors? There's another one on the bottom side of the engine that's really hard to get to and sounds like it might be your problem.
