After I make a left turn, the steering wheel stays off center and takes some time before going back to normal...the same happens if I make a right turn.

Besides the tie rods, what else should I be looking at/for??

1997 Nissan Pathfinder, XE 3.3L engine (two wheel drive).

Thanks very much,
PDM

Hi there

The steering gear box might cause this issue and I would also check the ball joints and strut plates. If they are binding up it can prevent the wheel from coming back to center.
