2007 GMC Yukon Denali with code P2101, does this shut the engine down temporarily?

Hi there

This code is for the electronic throttle actuator. It won't shut the engine down, but it will put the engine into failsafe more. In other words, it will continue to run, but, it won't accelerate like it's supposed to.
