Replaced RF wheel bearing on 07 Focus. Now have code C1142. Defective part?

Vehicle: 2007 Ford Focus

Yes part was defective. Installed another new wheel bearing and that took care of the problem. Apparently the magnetic ring inside the bearing that sends the signal to the abs sensor was missing a tooth.
