P0208A & P028B get code after install new DEF pump.

Question

I just installed brand new DEF pump. Went back and checked all connections none were loose. Is it possible the new pump was bad? I have another new pump should I install to see if errors go away. Can I drive my Ford F250 Super Duty with errors locally with out causing damage to the truck.

P208A Reductant pump control circuit open load

If you drive the truck with this code , you will have a loss of power, When you set this code it because the loss of power to it, Being brand new there can be a internal short with the pump.
