The whole pupose of the CK ENG LT program is to protect the catalytic convertor and the catalytic convertor is to protect the environment from harmful emission, you may a drivability problem but as long as it is with in catalytic damaging threshold the CK ENG LT does not have to come on. and it does not even have to set a pending code.
