i have a bmw e46 318i and every three day the engine management light come on, i have had the codes read and it comes up with mixture adaption, can you tell me what this means

Hi there,

The code means there is a lean fuel mixture on bank 1. This can be caused by several things, the most common would be a faulty front O2 sensor or an issue with an intake manifold gasket leaking.
