1997 Mercury Grand Marquis 4.9L, my a/c system gets cold under the hood but won't blow cold air out of the vents. HELP!

If the system will not blow cold air out of the vents this is the blend door if you have the manual a/c - heater these are vacuum door operated, usually the vacuum hose snap off and a new vacuum line is all that it would take to repair the door.
