P0217 codes only comes on while idling: terrano 2.7 tdiThOn

on Terrano 11 2.7 tdi error code p0217 comes on only when it idles for say more than 3 minutes (normal traffic light stand and idle still OK.
Not temperature as this code comes up with cold engine after initial start up as well if I let it idle for a while (OBD reading 45 Celsius)
