Car runs for 1 or 2 minutes. Then the hold light starts to flash
and no acceleration. Seems that the gear not shifting up gets locked. Scanner couldn't diagnose when model is entered but the equivalent Mazda 323 throws the codes P0730 and P0328 (knock sensor 1 signal too large).

After erasing the memory only P0328 was generated. Car was driven and scanned again. This time both codes appeared.

The fluid colour was no good. I have drained the fluid now. Is it a solenoid problem? If so, which solenoid is faulty? Please reply.

P.S. The colour of the fluid was light brown and flushed out. Replaced with new oil and filter.

There are 5 shift solenoids and a pressure solenoid. All are clicking during the test but C and E give weak clicks.

Input speed sensor reads the correct ohms.

I will check the VSS today.

Other than the above checking are there still things to be suspected?

P0730 Incorrect gear ratio

This code is really not complete , this just tells you in general that there is a gear ratio error, this year is not very exact in detailing the cause, if you where to replace the shift solenoid it comes in a sub assembly, you get the whole package.
