P0171 NISSAN -& P0174 for 2001 pathfinder

unable to get insp sticker due to these codes. please explain more info and how much$$$

These codes are for a lean condition on bank 1 and bank 2. The most common issue is the mass air flow sensor causing these codes. There can also be issues with vaccum leaks,low fuel pump pressure and possibly the fuel pressure regulator. It is best to have these systems checked and eliminated prior to getting a new maf sensor.

I too have a 2001 nissan PATHfinder. I was getting those two codes constantly, i found that my fuel filter was very bad, almost completely clogged but not all the way clogged. I installed a new wix fuel filter in and i have not seen the codes come back. try replacing the fuel filter first before buying a new mas.
