My F150 1997 runs for about 4 seconds airbag light indicator on hard shutdown

I have had the ignition switch broken into and it does not have the outer ring attached could that be a problem there at the switch and if so how do I reset the indicator light
Vehicle: 1996 Ford F150 5.8 liter four wheel drive
