Very rough idle P0888 , p0300

Question

My truck was making a slight clicking sound, decided to shut it off to check oil level, was ok.  Restarted truck, very rough, died when i hit the gas barely got backed it in my drive. P0888 code came on. Pulled battery to reset,  Restarted,  same but this time gave P0300 code any ideas?

P0888 Transmission relay always off

The misfire condition will set a P0888, so that code should be disregarded. what happens is the PCM turns the transmission relay to the off position,  depending on the cause of the misfire concern that you have

​ The fuel pump strainer on these are known to come apart and give rough idle and poor acceleration.
