Could a loose camshaft/crank shaft chain cause this also?

Clicking noise has been coming from where the camshaft chain is.
Vehicle: 2004 Dodge Durango V8 5something

Yes if the harmonic bolt  come loose what will happen is the harmonic main gear drive will strip out of position , this would cause a sluggish  acceleration,
