getting two codes P1776 and P0700 would one have to do with the other

Question

I have Dodge Grand Caravan and it's not shifting correctly. It will not go into the next gear. seems to go through 1st & 2nd ok but will not go into 3rd. getting two codes P1776 and P0700. P0700 says "trans control system" so I assume that has something to do with the shifting issue but what about P1776? Are they a related problem? Is this a difficult fix?

P0700 Transmission malfunction MIL requested

P1776 Solenoid switch valve latch in LR position

P0700 is a informative code condition it is stored with a trouble code , To resolve for P1776 you would need to do a reflash of the TCM if not already done. Here a TSB sample

Flash: MIL Illumination - DTC P1776 Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in LR Position

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the 2004 or 2005 Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or the 2003 Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software and performing the TCM Quicklearn procedure with the DRBIII(R).

NOTE :This bulletin applies to 2003 RS vehicles equipped with a 3.8L engine (sales code EGH), 2004 and 2005 RS/RG vehicles equipped with a 3.3L or 3.8L engine (sales code EGA, EGM or EGH) built before July 9, 2004 (MDH 0709XX).
