Why does it smoke heavily(blue smoke) at start up?

heavy blue smoke from tailpipe. at first just when warming up, now heavier and constant.

Hi there,

Blue smoke at start up usually means the valve seals are leaking oil. This is letting the oil drip into the cylinders and then when you first start it they burn the oil. As the engine runs it burns out the oil and the smoke clears out.
