Subaru 2001 outback code p1505 and parking lights stay on even if car is off, any ideas?

There are two anomalies

1) The running lights stay on even when the car is off so the fuse has to be pulled to avoid draining the battery.

2) The car started to idle really rough, sometimes giving a jolt on acceleration.

The parking lights are usually a result of the switch on top of the steering column.

P1505 is for the idle control circuit high input. Generally this is a code that is generated with a faulty IAC valve. Based on the running issues you are experiencing it's quite possible it is the problem
